The Design Service

  • Why should I hire a designer?

Interiors can be overwhelming and it can take considerable time and knowledge to successfully bring a scheme together, find the right resources, and choose pieces that will work.

A designer sees the bigger picture and has the knowledge and experience to help you avoid costly mistakes, hours of endless research or the possibility of a final result that is not functional or has fallen short of the design vision you had imagined.

  • How much does it cost to work with you?

Fees depend on the specific needs of each project. Sometimes I am involved at the discovery phase which is based on an hourly rate either in-person or where suitable, a consultation can also be done virtually.

A full interior design service includes in-person consultations, site visits, design plans and details and furniture procurement to provide design direction and resources for you. Design work is billed at an hourly rate or an agreed project fee upon commission, depending on the scale of the work involved.

  • Reimagining a space — how does it work?

At the initial consultation, we will discuss the creative vision for your space and I discover the style that tells your story.

As a designer, I want to gently push your boundaries and introduce you to ideas and choices that are individual and personal to you.

I firmly believe that the design process should strike a balance between respecting your taste, exploring new ideas and creating a beautiful home that is inherently unique to you.

I will work with you every step of the way to ensure that every aspect of your space is carefully considered, resulting in an interior that evokes a sense of being… a feeling of restfulness and calmness.

“Carla worked with us from the construction stage (of our renovation) right through to the final decoration. Her INSIGHT and VISION turned a small dark bungalow into a bright vibrant home.
